Yasser Arafat: The Pakistan cricket team recently faced a humiliating 0-2 defeat in the Test series against Bangladesh. Due to this, fans and former Pakistani legends criticized the team.
The performance of the Pakistani team in both the matches was below average, especially the bowlers were criticized a lot. As a result of this defeat, Pakistan's chances of qualifying for the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) have greatly diminished.
Former Pakistan fast bowler Yasir Arafat has slammed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for their recent performance. Arafat said in a video, “Your grey area has been highlighted. There is a fitness issue, a technical issue and a pitch issue.” Arafat further said, “I have heard that Jason Gillespie and the high-performance coach are going back to Australia. You are organizing a one-day tournament, I do not understand this decision.”
Arafat did not stop here and said, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is a circus with jokers. You have a Test series against England coming up and you are bringing players for ODIs. Shan Masood is saying in the press conference that our players have not played first class cricket for 1.5 years. You are playing ODIs before the Test series. This seems like a circus to me.
Pakistan are scheduled to host England for a three-match Test series, with the first match to be played in Multan on October 7. The second Test will be held in Karachi from October 15 to 19, while the third and final Test will begin in Rawalpindi from October 24.
