Jammu, September 6 (HS). Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is on a two-day visit for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, released the state BJP's Sankalp Patra (manifesto) in Jammu. The BJP has promised the development of Jammu and Kashmir in the Sankalp Patra.

BJP has made the following promises in its Sankalp Patra. In which we will develop Dal Lake of Srinagar city as a world-class tourist destination and promote water sports. We will build an amusement park in Srinagar's Tattoo Ground. Tourism industry will be promoted in Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur and upper areas of Kathua. Gulmarg and Pahalgam in Kashmir Valley will be developed as modern tourist cities and will increase the infrastructure for this. Tawi Riverfront will be developed on the lines of Sabarmati Riverfront of Ahmedabad. We will promote tourism by creating a separate lake development authority for Ranjit Sagar Dam Basohli (Kathua).

We will make plans to solve the problem of pending electricity and water bills of all consumers. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission Har Ghar Nal Se Jal Abhiyan, drinking water will be provided to all the houses of Jammu and Kashmir. Free electricity will be provided to families through the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, in which a subsidy of Rs 10,000 will also be given for the installation of solar equipment.

Under the Rishi Kashyap Tirtha Punaruddhar Abhiyan, Hindu temples and religious sites will be reconstructed. 100 ruined temples will be renovated. Other existing temples including Shankaracharya Temple (Jyeshteshwar Temple), Raghunath Temple and Martand Sun Temple will be further developed through the active participation of religious and spiritual organizations.

Through Atal Awas Yojana, 5 marla land will be allotted free of cost to landless beneficiaries. Old age, widow and disability pension will be increased three-fold from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000, so that a dignified life can be ensured for the weaker sections.

5 lakh employment opportunities will be generated through Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Rojgar Yojana. Will enable youth to prepare for competitive examinations like JKPSC and UPSC. Will ensure timely interviews along with fair and just recruitment process. Coaching fees up to 10,000 will also be given for 2 years. Will reimburse travel expenses to the examination centers and one-time application fee.

Tika Lal Taploo Displaced Society Rehabilitation Scheme will be launched. This will expedite the safe return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits and other displaced people including refugees from West Pakistan, Valmiki, Gurkhas. And it will also be ensured that the displaced people of Jammu division get all the appropriate benefits, security and protection that Kashmiri displaced people get.

Three regional development boards will be established to monitor the completion of government schemes and handicraft programs in Jammu region. An IT hub will be established in Jammu city as a special economic zone. A pharmaceutical park will be established in Udhampur and an Ayush herbal park in Kishtwar.

Will provide Rs 10,000 under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, which will include an additional Rs 4,000 along with the existing Rs 6,000. Will reduce electricity rates for agricultural activities by 50 percent, making it easier for farmers to operate irrigation pumps and other machinery.

Under the Maa Samman Yojana, the eldest woman in every household will be given Rs 18,000 per year. Ujjwala beneficiaries will be given two free LPG cylinders every year. The state government will provide assistance on the issue of interest on bank loans of women self-help groups.

Problems of adhoc/contractual/daily wage employees will be resolved. Additional support will be provided for targeted grievance redressal of important community workers like Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, NHM workers, Rehbar-e-Khel employees (TMKs), Community Information Centre (CIC) operators, Home Guards and National Youth Corps.

We will complete projects like Sadhna Pass Tunnel, Katra-Banihal Railway Tunnel under Har Tunnel Tej Pehal scheme for seamless connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir. We will ensure that no village is left behind by building 10,000 km of new rural roads. We will start metro services in Jammu and Srinagar soon to improve urban connectivity and enhance mobility.

To ensure affordable healthcare for all, we will provide Rs 2 lakh along with the coverage of Rs 5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat Sehat Yojana. We will add 1,000 new seats through existing and upcoming government medical colleges.

We will build a peaceful and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorism and separatism will be completely eradicated. We will publish a white paper and ensure accountability for all victims of terrorism. We will fast track cases in the courts. We will provide justice to the victims. We will ensure the rule of law in the state.

A new policy will be formulated to address the existing problems of the 7,000 existing SME units in Jammu and Kashmir. Issues related to regularization of lease deeds of small traders and shopkeepers operating in existing markets and commercial places will be resolved in a time-bound manner. Strict steps will be taken to address the problems of small units and workers.

Reservation in promotions for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be ensured in government services. A transfer policy will be made for all employees, especially for Scheduled Castes and other employees working in the Kashmir Valley.
