Jind: 19.5 lakhs robbed on the pretext of getting admission in MBBS | News India

Jind, September 6 (HS). Sadar Thana Safidon Police has registered a case against eight people under various sections including cheating for duping a person of Rs. 19.5 lakh on the pretext of getting admission in MBBS.

Ishwar, a resident of Kheda Khemavati village, told the police in his complaint on Friday that a family of his village has a firm in the name of Prof. Rajendra Ramchandra. His family had eight shareholders in the firm. He has been investing his crops in the firm for a long time. The accused asked him to deposit Rs. 20 lakh in the firm and said that they would arrange for his nephew Pranjul's admission in MBBS. He gave Rs. 19.5 lakh to the accused. He said that the balance amount would be deducted from the crop, but Pranjul was not admitted. Then the accused promised to get him a job.

That too was not given. When he asked for his money back, the accused threatened him and refused to return the money. After the Panchayat, the accused talked about selling the land and deducting the amount from it. Despite this the accused neither returned the money nor got the land registered in his name. When he pressurized for the money, the accused threatened him with dire consequences. Giving information on Friday, Investigation Officer of Sadar Police Station Safidon Vinod Kumar said that on the complaint of Ishwar the police has registered a case of fraud against the partners of the firm Bharat Singh, Ravi, Ankit, Mohit, Rajendra, Shamsher, Dilbagh, Chandram and has started the investigation.
