Mumbai Major Block: 10-hour major block announced on September 7 and 8 | News India

To facilitate the construction of the sixth line between Goregaon and Kandivali on Western Railway, there will be a big block on the up and down slow lines and down fast lines at Goregaon and Kandivali stations on Saturday and Sunday midnight i.e. 7 and 8 September. From 1 night to 10 hours the next day. The effect of this big block will also be seen on trains.

126 trains will remain cancelled

According to the information, about 126 trains will be cancelled due to this big block. Western Railway has informed that some suburban trains will be cancelled/short terminated during this block. According to Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, during this block, all up slow line trains will run on the up fast line from Borivali to Goregaon. While all down slow line trains will run on Andheri take-down fast line.

These trains will run with a delay of 10 minutes

In this regard, Western Railway informed that during this block period, up and down mail/express trains will run late by 10 to 20 minutes. Western Railway has decided to run Samvatsari special train between Bandra Terminus and Palitana for the convenience of passengers during the festival.

Block in Delhi division till 17 September

  • Due to non-interlocking work regarding rail connection between Palwal-New Prithla (DFCC) yard in Palwal of Delhi Division of Northern Railway, the block will remain till 17 September 2024. Due to which some trains of Western Railway will be canceled and diverted.
  • From 5th to 16th September 2024, train no. 12903 will run as Mumbai Central Amritsar Golden Temple Mail via Ratlam-Neemuch-Ajmer-Jaipur-Rewari-New Delhi-Ghaziabad.
  • From 5th to 16th September, 2024, train no. 12904 Amritsar Mumbai Central Golden Temple Mail will run from Amritsar via Ghaziabad – New Delhi – Rewari – Jaipur – Ajmer – Neemuch – Ratlam.
