Late on Wednesday night, BJP released the list of its candidates. To celebrate Dudaram's name being included in this list from Fatehabad, drums were played and fireworks were burst at his residence on Bhattu Road. His supporters expressed their happiness by distributing laddus.
Actually, this time the old BJP leaders were putting in a lot of effort to get a ticket from Fatehabad. The biggest name among them was Chairman Ved Phulan. He had even claimed that his ticket was confirmed. Apart from this, BJP leaders Rajpal Beniwal and Anil Sihag were also among the contenders for the ticket from Fatehabad. These two leaders had also shown their strength against Dudaram a few days ago, but Dudaram prevailed over all of them and succeeded in getting the ticket. In the 2019 elections also, Dudaram defeated the old BJP members and got the ticket within 10 days of joining the party. Dudaram has been an MLA twice. The number of Jat voters on the Fatehabad seat is more than 80 thousand. At the same time, Dudaram has been getting the benefit of Bishnoi votes.
