Firozabad, 05 September (HS). The district administration is concerned about maximum number of eligible beneficiaries getting the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in rural areas. This is the reason why the responsibility of publicizing this scheme has been given to the block development officers. Along with this, for publicizing and creating awareness about this scheme, the model houses built in the development block will be shown to the identified beneficiaries.
District Magistrate Ramesh Ranjan said that Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin is an important scheme of the Government of India, through which the work of providing a concrete roof to all homeless and homeless families in rural areas is done. A fresh survey is being conducted in this so that only eligible people can get its benefits. To get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, it is necessary that the name of the eligible family, beneficiary is included in the eligibility list to be prepared after the survey. For this, the following standards have been set, which include shelterless families, helpless and beggars, subsistence families, manual scavengers, primitive tribal groups, legally freed bonded laborers.
Apart from this, those people will be considered ineligible who have motorized three-wheelers, four-wheelers, mechanized three-wheeler four-wheeler agricultural equipment, Kisan Credit Card holders with loan limit of Rs 50 thousand or more, families in which any member is a government employee, families with non-agricultural enterprises registered with the government, families in which any member is earning more than Rs 15 thousand per month, families paying income tax, families doing business, families who have irrigated land of two and a half acres or more, families who have unirrigated land of 5 acres or more.
He has instructed the officers to publicize this scheme as much as possible. So that the eligible beneficiaries can get help from this scheme, the eligibility and ineligibility criteria should be wall written at public places in the Gram Panchayat. So that the general public can get complete information about this scheme. He said that the Block Development Officer will make arrangements for publicity during Tehsil and Police Station days. For publicity and awareness of the scheme, the model houses built in the development block should be shown to the identified beneficiaries.
The District Magistrate said that two important changes have been made in this scheme. Earlier, people whose average monthly income was Rs. 10,000 were not considered eligible for this scheme, but now this limit has been increased to Rs. 15,000. Also, earlier, people owning two-wheelers were also not given the benefit of this scheme, but now they have been excluded from this limit. During this, Chief Development Officer Shatruhan Vaish and other officers were present.
