Sanjauli Mosque Dispute: The issue of the mosque built in Sanjauli in Himachal Pradesh's capital Shimla is getting heated. On Wednesday, Sukhu government's Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Anirudh Singh said something on mosque and love jihad in the assembly that made the BJP MLAs start clapping. Anirudh Singh has raised questions on the system regarding the construction of the mosque. He said, 'Was the approval of the system taken to build the mosque?'
Where was the system sleeping?
Sukhu government minister said, 'I am not against any community but they started work without permission in 2010. After this, illegal construction of 2500 square feet was done. Their hearing was held in the year 2012. Even after this, these people did not listen. Illegal construction continued. By the year 2019, four more floors were illegally constructed. When the case was going on in 2010, how did four floors become available by 2019? Where was the system sleeping?'
It is difficult for women to walk in Sanjoli
Congress leader Aniruddh Singh further said, 'Another shocking thing is that the land of the mosque belongs to the Himachal Pradesh government. Our government is not against anyone, but I request the Chief Minister to investigate where whoever is involved in this is from. Today it has become difficult for women to walk in Sanjauli market. Such comments are passed. I am a personal witness to this.'
Love Jihad is considered a threat
Anirudh Singh further said, 'Love Jihad also needs attention. It is very dangerous for our country and region. Violence is happening. Did our local people start the violence? That should also be investigated. I demand from the Chief Minister that whatever work is being done in Himachal should be verified. The presentation on the mosque issue is going to be held on September 7. I also call the system. It has been 14 years. So far 44 applications have come. They do not know who owns the land? How can a map be passed on government land? If the land is occupied, then first of all the map should be cancelled. 'Action should be taken against illegal construction.' During this, Minister Vikramaditya Singh, sitting next to Anirudh Singh, was seen smiling.
