Shimla Mosque Dispute: The controversy over the alleged illegal construction of a mosque in Sanjauli area of Shimla is deepening. Local people protested on this issue, but a heated exchange of words has started between Congress and BJP leaders on this issue. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi also slammed the Congress on this issue. Politics has heated up over this.

Many ministers of the state, opposition leaders and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur have given their reaction on the illegal construction of the mosque. The big thing is that Minister Anirudh Singh in the state government has also raised questions on the government and the system regarding this construction. The courage with which he presented his side on this issue in the assembly was supported more by the opposition than the ruling party. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has attacked the Congress government on this issue.

Hindu organization gave two days ultimatum to remove illegal construction

There is a ruckus in Himachal Pradesh from the streets to the assembly on this issue of illegal construction. Today afternoon, people from Hindu organizations gathered here and took out a protest march. On the other hand, Minister Anirudh Singh, who presented the government's report on this issue in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, also reached here and addressed the protest. In this matter, Hindu organizations have now given a two-day ultimatum to the government.

Anirudh Singh raised the question in the assembly

Himachal Pradesh's Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Aniruddh Singh made a strong comment on the issue of mosque construction in the assembly. He said that it has become difficult for women to walk in Sanjauli market. Thefts are happening, incidents like love jihad are happening, which are dangerous for the state and the country. The mosque has been constructed illegally. First one floor was constructed. Then the rest of the floors were constructed without permission. Now a 5-storey mosque has been built. The question to the system is that why the electricity and water supply was not cut for the illegal construction of the mosque?

Anirudh Singh strongly expressed his opinion on the mosque dispute in the assembly. He said that it has become difficult for women to walk in Sanjauli market. He alleged that I myself saw indecent comments being made there. He also said that criminal activities like drugs and theft are increasing. Along with this, the issue of love jihad was also raised. He called it a serious threat to the country and the state. Singh said that the local people are not behind the fights and violence in the area but it was started by outside elements, after which the local people have reacted.

He demanded from the Chief Minister that proper investigation of people coming to the state for work should be done. Singh insisted that only civilized Himachali citizens should be given the license of Tehbazari. The opposition also supported Anirudh Singh in this matter, due to which the pressure on the government to take appropriate action in this matter has increased.

Owaisi targeted Congress

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi reacted strongly to the statement of Himachal Pradesh minister Anirudh Singh and accused the Congress of speaking the language of the BJP. Owaisi posted a video on social media and said whether the Himachal government is of the BJP or the Congress? There is 'hatred in the shop of love' in Himachal.

Anirudh Singh replied to Owaisi

At the same time, Anirudh Singh reacted to Owaisi's statement and said that temples and mosques are not private property. Here it is a matter of legal and illegal. Illegal is illegal. He said that Owaisi is BJP's B team. His politics runs only on the strength of one community. He should take care of his state. The issue of outsiders is serious and needs to be recognized. He claimed that people with criminal background are coming to Himachal.

CM said this

In this regard, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that people of all religions are respected in the state. Strict action will be taken against those who take the law into their own hands. Investigation is being conducted to determine the reason for such a situation. In this regard, the Urban Development Minister has also given his statement in the House. Every person coming to Himachal Pradesh is bound by the law and the citizens of the state are also bound by the law. Peaceful demonstrations will be respected in the state. No one is allowed to break the law and order in the state.

Former CM Jairam Thakur demanded action

Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur called the illegal construction of the mosque unfortunate and demanded strict action. He said that the illegal construction of the mosque is unfortunate and immediate action should be taken against it.

What did Vikramaditya Singh say?

On the other hand, Congress minister Vikramaditya Singh has appealed to be cautious on this issue. He said that Himachal has a history of taking everyone along. We have to move ahead cautiously on this issue and respect everyone's sentiments. The government will take justifiable action under the law. Politics should not be done in the name of religion. There is love for everyone in Himachal and hatred has no place here. There will be no registration of illegal constructions in the city. People are coming to Himachal with fake IDs, this is a question mark on the internal security of Himachal. The government will not get involved in communal matters.

Tension in Sanjauli due to protest

Hundreds of people have gathered in Shimla's Sanjauli suburb to protest against the alleged illegal construction of a mosque. People first took out a protest march in Sanjauli market and then gathered outside the mosque and surrounded it. They demand that the illegal construction of the mosque be demolished. This matter has arisen after a fight between Hindu and Muslim community in Maliana last Friday evening. A person from the Muslim community allegedly attacked local shopkeeper Yashpal Singh, who got 14 stitches on his head. After this, the people of the area have demanded to register a case against the accused under the section of attempt to murder.

Construction of mosque is illegal

Shimla Municipal Corporation Commissioner Bhupendra Atri said that permission was given to build only one floor for the mosque, but three more floors have been constructed illegally. The matter is pending in the court and the Waqf Board has also been made a party in it. Atri also clarified that no new construction has been done since the matter went to court.
