885 elderly and disabled voters of the district will vote at home for the first time |Live Updates,Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

Kaithal, 16 May (Hindustan Reporter) For the first time, elders above 85 years of age and more than 40 percent disabled people will vote at home on Friday and Saturday. To avail the benefit of this facility of the Election Commission of India, 885 voters of the district had filled Form 12D and expressed their desire to vote through postal ballot paper i.e. at home. For this, 55 mobile polling teams have been formed across the district. The polling party will include staff like a sector officer, BLO, presiding officer, polling officer, micro observer, videographer and police personnel. For this, 14 mobile teams have been formed. The work of casting the votes of these special voters of Kaithal Assembly constituency will be done on May 17.

253 people in Pundri, 188 in Guhla and 200 in Kalayat will vote at home.

In Pundri assembly constituency, 218 voters above 85 years of age and 35 disabled voters have applied for the facility of voting from home. For this, 14 mobile teams have been formed. Voting in this assembly constituency will be done on May 18. In Guhla Assembly constituency, 133 elderly and 55 disabled voters have applied for the facility of voting from home. For this, 15 mobile teams have been formed. Voting in this assembly constituency will be done on May 17. He said that in Kalayat assembly constituency, 155 voters above 85 years of age and 45 disabled voters have applied for the facility of voting from home. For this, 12 mobile teams have been formed.
