8362 construction workers of the district were benefited from various schemes

Dhamtari, July 5 (HS). On the instructions of Collector Namrata Gandhi, 8 thousand 362 beneficiaries of the district were benefited with a total of 2 crore 77 lakh 25 thousand rupees under various schemes run under Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. This amount has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through RTGS / NEFT.

The labor officer informed that under the Minimata Mahtari Jatan Scheme, 355 beneficiaries were benefited with Rs 71 lakh, under the Chief Minister Naunihal Scholarship Assistance Scheme, 7594 beneficiaries were benefited with Rs one crore 41 lakh 3 thousand 500, under the Chief Minister Noni-Babu Medhavi Education Assistance Scheme, 119 beneficiaries were benefited with Rs 6 lakh 41 thousand 500, under the Chief Minister Sian Assistance Scheme, 5 beneficiaries were benefited with Rs one lakh and under the Chief Minister Noni Empowerment Assistance Scheme, 289 beneficiaries were benefited with Rs 57 lakh 80 thousand.

Under the Labor Department, Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board registers 60 types of categories – Reja Coolie, Mason, Plumber, Electrician, Carpenter, Painter, Tiles Laborer, Workers engaged in road construction, etc. The major schemes of these schemes are Didi E-Rickshaw Assistance Scheme, Naunihal Scholarship Scheme, Noni Babu Education Promotion Scheme, Special Education Assistance Scheme, Free Coaching Assistance Scheme for the Children of Chief Minister Construction Workers, Excellent Sports Promotion Scheme for the Children of Construction Workers, Chief Minister Construction Labor Skill Development and Family Empowerment Scheme, Chief Minister Sewing Machine Assistance Scheme, Chief Minister Construction Labor Longevity Assistance Scheme and Chief Minister Cyan Assistance Scheme.

The labor officer said that to avail the benefits of the schemes, go to the nearest Choice Center and apply online for the scheme. If any illegal amount is demanded in the Choice Center apart from the prescribed fee or illegal amount is demanded in the name of the department, then a complaint can be immediately made to the nearest police station or Tehsildar office or Sub-Divisional Officer office and Labor Officer office located in the Collectorate.
