830 students entered India from Bangladesh in two days, BSF secured them in Indian border

Kolkata, July 19 (HS). After the student movement in Bangladesh turned violent, a large number of Indian and other national students have gathered at the India-Bangladesh border. In the last two days, about 830 students have been safely evacuated inside the Indian border by the Border Security Force (BSF) deployed at the border.

Giving this information, sources said on Friday that till July 18, the total number of students who entered India through the checkpost Dawki-Tamabil located on the India-Bangladesh border in Dawki, Nagaland was 474. The number of Indian students in this was 198, while 168 students from Bangladesh, 101 students from Nepal, and seven students from Bhutan have joined.

As of 1:30 pm on 19 July, 356 students from Bangladesh have entered India. These include 200 Indian students, 143 Nepali students, 01 Bhutanese student and 12 Bangladeshi students. The situation is such that Bangladeshi students are also fleeing to the Indian border for their safety. Sources said that the BSF has kept these students under its security cover. Arrangements are being made to safely send the concerned students to their homes.

However, these numbers are only about students. The authorities are currently silent about how many tourists or other citizens have come to India from Bangladesh.
