Prayagraj, June 10 (HS). The examinations of the session June 2024 of UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University are starting from June 11 at 166 centers in the state. These examination centers also include 4 central prisons. About 80 thousand candidates will appear in the examination.
Giving this information, Vice Chancellor Professor Satyakam said that the examinations will be conducted till July 16. The time table has been uploaded on the website for the convenience of the candidates. He said that the examinations for certificate, diploma and PG diploma etc. will be conducted from June 11 to June 15 and graduation, post graduation and remaining examinations will be conducted from June 18 to July 16 in 2 shifts from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.
The Vice Chancellor informed that the admit cards of the candidates of all the subjects have been made online. Candidates can download them and appear in the exam. He informed that the maximum number of 29 examination centers have been made in Gorakhpur region. Apart from this, 25 examination centers have been made in Prayagraj region, 22 in Varanasi region, 15 in Azamgarh region, 17 in Ayodhya region, 14 in Lucknow region, 11 in Kanpur region and Agra region, 7 in Jhansi region, 5 in Meerut region, 4 in Ghaziabad region and 2 in Bareilly region.
The Vice Chancellor said that the university is constantly making efforts for the education of the jail inmates. This time, the jail inmates will be given the exam in 4 central jails in the entire state, namely Naini, Prayagraj, Ghaziabad, Ayodhya and Bareilly Central Jail.
Prof. Satyakam reviewed the preparations for the exam on Monday. Special arrangements have been made to ensure that the exam is conducted in a transparent and safe manner in entire Uttar Pradesh. Under this, this time, mobile phones of all except the centre in-charge have been banned inside the examination hall.
Media in-charge Dr. Prabhat Chandra Mishra said that on the instructions of the Vice Chancellor, flying squads and supervisory teams have been formed to conduct a cheating-free examination in the entire state. To ensure that no candidate faces any problem at any centre in the state, a help desk has been set up in the examination controller's office under the direction of examination controller D P Singh for quick resolution of the problems of the candidates. Where the problems of the candidates are being resolved. Registrar Colonel Vinay Kumar has sent a letter to the state's Director General of Police regarding maintaining security and law and order at the examination centres during the examinations and has requested deployment of adequate security forces near the examination centres.
