8 Indians stranded in a ship for three months returned home

A cargo ship got stuck under a bridge in Baltimore, USA, which became a victim of an accident. Therefore, eight crew members of the ship remained stranded for three months. There were 20 Indians and one Sri Lankan citizen on board the ship MV Dali, which got stuck in the river after the collapse of the Francis Scott Bridge in Baltimore. According to the report of the Baltimore Maritime Exchange, out of a total of 21 crew members, four are still stranded on the ship.

There are still people trapped on the ship

It has been three months since the Baltimore bridge tragedy. Some of the Indian crew members aboard the cargo ship MV Dali are returning home. According to the information, eight members of the Indian Army have left for India on Friday. Four out of 21 members are still stranded on the 984-foot long cargo ship. The ship will depart for Norfolk, Virginia on Friday. Other crew members were taken to a serviced apartment in Baltimore. They will stay there till the investigation is completed. Let us tell you that 2- crew members were Indian citizens.

After the deal, he was allowed to leave America

The cargo ship – MV Daily, stuck in the river after hitting the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, and the Baltimore accident have been in the news for the last three months. There were 20 Indian and one Sri Lankan soldier on board the ship. The accident related to the bridge is being investigated by the US Federal Investigation Agency – FBI and the National Transportation Safety Board. The crew members returning home include a cook, a fitter, an oiler and several sailors. After the agreement, these eight members have been allowed to leave the US. No officer is included among those returning. The remaining 13 crew members will remain in the US for the time being till the accident is investigated.

The Francis Scott Key Bridge is 2.6 km long

Let us tell you that the four-lane Francis Scott Bridge built on the Patapsco River in Baltimore is 2.6 kilometers long. The bridge collapsed on March 26 after the Dali ship hit it. No crew member has been charged in connection with the accident. The ship is owned by Grace Ocean Private Limited and was going from Baltimore to Colombo.
