7th Pay Commission: Another announcement on DA before Holi, great news for these employees!

7th Pay Commission: After the Centre, now the states have also started increasing the dearness allowance i.e. DA of their employees. In this series, Arunachal Pradesh government has announced 4% increase in dearness allowance for state employees and dearness relief allowance for pensioners. With this, dearness allowance and dearness relief of government employees in the state will increase to 50 percent.

How many people will benefit?

This increase, effective from January 1, will benefit 68,818 state government employees and 33,200 pensioners. At the same time, the state will have to spend an additional Rs 124.20 crore per year for this.

Giving this information, Chief Minister Pema Khandu wrote in a post on her social media account X – Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our double engine government is committed to the welfare of all citizens. It also includes people dedicated to providing government services. Let us continue to work diligently for the all-round, inclusive development of the state.

There was an increase of 4 percent in the center also

Earlier, the Central Government had announced a four percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) of its employees and Dearness Relief (DR) of pensioners. Under this, the basic salary/pension has been increased by 4 percent from the rate of 46 percent. Now the allowance of central employees has also increased to 50 percent. According to the government, both dearness allowance and dearness relief will have a combined impact of Rs 12,868.72 crore per year on the exchequer. This will benefit about 49.18 lakh central government employees and 67.95 lakh pensioners.
