771579 registrations so far for Chardham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib, highest for Kedarnath

Dehradun, 15 April (HS). Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council has received 771579 registrations for Chardham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib in just three days till Wednesday. In this, maximum number of registrations have been done for Kedarnath. Online registrations were started from 7 am on April 15.

In Chardham Yatra registration, there have been 142311 registrations for Yamunotri, 144926 for Gangotri, 254807 for Kedarnath, 219987 for Badrinath and 9548 for Hemkund Sahib. Out of the registrations done so far, 93733 registrations have been done through Tourism Care Uttarakhand mobile app, 600820 through registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in web portal and 77026 through WhatsApp. These options for registration are quite easy for the pilgrims.

Chardham Yatra will start from May 10

This time Chardham Yatra is starting from the month of May. On May 10, the doors of Baba Kedarnath Dham will be opened for the devotees. On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the doors of Maa Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will also open on 10th May. Whereas the doors of Lord Badrinath Dham will open on 12th May. All preparations for the yatra are being finalized at the government level. At the same time, all the arrangements for opening the doors are also being improved. The Yatra to Hemkund Sahib will start on 25th May.
