A security assessment report by an Islamabad-based think tank claimed that after 56 terrorist attacks in March, 77 attacks took place at various locations in Pakistan in April, killing 70 people.
A Pakistani newspaper has claimed that according to a report by Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), the attack has caused massive damage in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
70 people including 35 civilians and 31 security personnel have died in this attack. According to reports, four terrorists were killed during the attack, 32 civilians and 35 security personnel were injured in the attack.
There were 56 terrorist attacks in March in which 77 people were killed and 67 people were injured. This indicates a 38 percent increase in terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
Although the death rate decreased by 9 percent, there was no change in the number of injured. The security report also outlined efforts made by security forces to thwart potential attacks throughout the month.
At least 55 suspected terrorists were killed in the action by security forces and 12 terrorists were arrested. In which the accused of Basham suicide attack are also included.
According to the report, 73 percent of terrorist attacks in April took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Tribal districts of the province have also come under attack.
