Moradabad, 19 February (HS). Police detained 75 Shiv Sainiks of Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray faction of Moradabad after a mild scuffle, who were going to Moradabad to submit a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Kalki Dham temple in Sambhal. Shiv Sainiks were going to submit a memorandum to the PM to liberate the Harihar Temple located in Sambhal. The arrested Shiv Sena officials were released in the evening after furnishing personal bonds.
Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) Moradabad district chief Virendra Arora said that Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan had established Harihar Temple in Sambhal. This temple was closed by the invaders. For two decades, the executive of Shiv Sena Uddhav faction has been running a movement to liberate Harihar Temple by performing Jalabhishek. Every year she tries to be careful in the month of Saavan. But the police administration arrests them and does not allow them to go to offer water.
Virendra Arora further said that on the Prime Minister's arrival in Sambhal on Monday, the national leadership of Shiv Sena had formed a team of 500 senior officials of the state under the leadership of state chief Anil Singh, West Uttar Pradesh in-charge Dharmendra Tomar. The team had decided to submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister for the liberation of Harihar Temple.
After the announcement of this program of Shiv Sena, the Uttar Pradesh government had deployed heavy forces at the houses of the state chief, Western Uttar Pradesh in-charge and Moradabad district chief. All three leaders were placed under house arrest. When about 75 senior officials of Shiv Sena Metropolitan Moradabad gathered at the residence of District Chief Virendra Arora and came out in vehicles to Sambhal, a large number of police forces stopped the Shiv Sainiks. In which SDM, CO Civil Lines, PAC and forces of various police stations were present. There was a scuffle between Shiv Sainiks and police over stopping.
The police did not allow Shiv Sainiks to move forward. All the officials discussed among themselves and gave a symbolic arrest against the state government. Shiv Sainiks submitted a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister through SDM. Shiv Sainiks were held after the Prime Minister's program ended. In this case, Shiv Sainiks also made arrests in tehsil Bilari and Thakurdwara.
On this occasion, Kamal Singh Rao, Kshmudit Vice President, Rajeev Rathore, Shibu Pandey, Tilak Raj Sharma, Arun Thakur, Umesh Thakur, Shibu Saini, Bharat Arora, Sardar Inderjit Singh, Umesh Bhatia, Rajeev Saxena, Vicky, Arjun Singh, Rahul Singh, 75 senior Shiv Sena like Badam Singh, Rajpal, Pankaj Singh, Deepak etc. and various tehsil officials have given their arrests.
