Varanasi, 07 September (HS). The 74th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram was celebrated with enthusiasm in the city of Baba Vishwanath on Saturday. Music practitioners of the city awakened the feeling of patriotism among the people by playing the Vande Mataram song on the tune of Shehnai in the Bharat Mata Mandir premises located in Sigra. During this time, Mahendra Prasanna, the Shehnai player of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, awakened the spirit of patriotism by singing the Vande Mataram song on the tune of Shehnai.
It is worth mentioning that on 07 September 1950, for the first time, a song written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee was sung in the Parliament. Before this, the Vande Mataram song was first sung in the Indian National Congress session in 1896. In 1950, Vande Mataram became the national song and Jana Gana Mana became the national anthem.
On the other hand, under the joint aegis of Tri Shakti Seva Foundation and Hindu Yuva Vahini Varanasi, homage was paid to the martyrs on the occasion of Vande Mataram National Song Day. During this, the families of the martyrs were honored.
MLA of city south Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari was present as the chief guest in the program. Mandal in-charge of Hindu Yuva Vahini Ambrish Singh Bhola said that a grand program 'Ek Shaam Desh Ke Mahan Krantikariyon Ke Naam' was also organized in Guru Gorakshanath Math located in Maidagin. The sons of Bharat Mata who sacrificed their lives for the country were remembered and their family members were honored. During this, singer and actor Manohar Singh enthralled the audience by presenting a patriotic song. Patriotic songs infused new energy in the people.
