Lucknow, 19 November (Hindus). 74 officers, engineers and working agencies who did excellent work under the Jal Jeevan Mission organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow were honoured. In the ceremony, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantradev Singh, Minister of State for Jal Shakti Ramkesh, Additional Chief Secretary Anurag Srivastava honored all the officers and engineers by giving them water tank mementos, medals and certificates.
On this occasion, Jal Shakti Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Swatantradev Singh said that there are no complaints in the work of the staff officers of Jal Jeevan Mission. First of all I thank all such people. We were down in the rankings. We worked under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. By 2027, our target is to provide tap water to every household.
Swatantradev Singh said that every household is far from the target of 14 percent water. This has to be done on time and with a spirit of service. After laying the water pipes, 100 percent road was not built, 99 percent was built. One percent of roads not being built spoils the environment. This honor is an honor of collective effort.
He said that Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi speak from the depth of the heart. Worry about getting things done for the last person in line. There is pain in his heart. Whenever I go to the village, no one alleges corruption in any work of Rural Jal Jeevan Mission. Ae Jee faces no charges. But Ae Jee should not meet anyone at home. In the same state, in Bundelkhand, mothers and sons used to die after offering rice in Batohi. Modi and Yogi are worried about them.
Minister of State for Jal Shakti Ramkesh Nishad said that the foundation of honoring the employees doing excellent work was laid the day the work started in Bundelkhand. How did the residents of Bundelkhand quench their thirst? In Mahoba, water used to come by trains. Officials of Jal Shakti Department have received honor from the President for quenching the thirst of Bundelkhand and Vindhya.
Additional Chief Secretary (Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply) Anurag Srivastava said that Jal Jeevan Mission was planned for Bundelkhand in the Prime Minister’s plan by sitting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Jal Shakti Minister on the night of 31 December 2017. Jal Jeevan Mission was not implemented then, yet we were ready. Jal Jeevan Mission had received support from all colleagues and is still getting it. In Charkhari block of Mahoba, every house has got 100 percent water supply. Similarly, soon every house in all the blocks will be connected to 100 percent water supply. We have paid Rs 5-6 thousand crore directly into the account without meeting any person, there are some problems here. Which will be removed. We have not two, but four thousand hands, all of you are the team of water life.
Managing Director (Jal Nigam Rural) Dr. Rajashekhar, State Information Commissioner P.N. Dwivedi along with officers and employees of State Rural Water Supply Department, Namami Gange and people from various agencies working in rural areas were present.
