New Expressway: There is great relief news for the people living in NCR cities. Haryana Government has approved four-laning of Hodal-Nuh-Pataudi-Patoda road for 71 kilometers i.e. Hodal-Nuh-Tawadu-Bilaspur road in Palwal, Nuh and Gurugram districts. It is estimated that Rs 616 crore will be spent on this. This decision was taken in the meeting of the Standing Finance Committee chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday.

Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister Ranbir Gangwa along with officials of Finance Department, Public Works (Buildings and Roads), Energy Department and Housing Department were also present in the meeting.

It aims to increase the efficiency of both freight and passenger traffic on the Hodal-Nuh-Pataudi-Pataudi road. The project will significantly improve connectivity on four major national highways: Delhi-Mathura-Agra (NH-19), Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (NE-4), Gurugram-Nuh-Rajasthan (NH-248A) and Delhi-Jaipur (NH-248A). Many villages located on this route will also benefit from the proposed change. These include- Bilaspur, Pathredi, Adbar, Bavla, Bhajlaka, Biwan, Charoda, Fatehpur, Gowarka, Gudhi, Hussainpur, Jaisinghpur, Jhamuwas, Kalinjar, Noorpur, Palla, Raipuri, Satputiyaka, Silkho, Sonkh, Tezpur, Ujina, Bahin, Bhimsika, Kot, Malai, Nangaljat, Saundahad, Uttarawar, Cities- Nuh, Hodal, Tawadu District Nuh and Palwal.

The Chief Minister directed the Housing for All Department to provide plots of 100 square yards to all eligible families under the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme. It was told that more than 5 lakh people have applied for plots under this scheme.

Instructions to accelerate projects

In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officials of the Public Works Department to make changes in the tender allotment process and said that the department should make necessary changes in the online bidding process so that after receiving the tender through online medium, there is no need for development due to contractors leaving the project or being declared ineligible. Unnecessary delays in projects can be eliminated. He suggested that under the new system, if the L-1 (lowest bidder) leaves the project midway for any reason, the contract should automatically be awarded to the L-2 bidder, who will work at the fixed rates.
