Gorakhpur, 26 November (Hindustan Reporter). The 70th national convention of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was organized at Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University on 22, 23 and 24 November.
ABVP’s 70th National Day witnessed many historic experiences in which we got the opportunity to see Mini India, Unity in Diversity, and the cultural heritage of different states. The Manvandana Yatra taken out by ABVP from Maheshwar on the tercentenary year of Punyashloka Ahilyabai Holkar reached the convention venue via Prayagraj, Ayodhya. Through the yatra, the efforts made by Lokmata for the revival of Indian cultural uniqueness were brought to the general public. The yatra, which reached Gorakhpur on 21st November, was welcomed by the National President of ABVP, Prof. Welcomed by Rajsharan Shahi and the then National General Secretary Yagyavalkya Shukla.
In the 70th National Convention of ABVP, a huge exhibition dedicated to Mahant Avedyanath was organized, the huge exhibition auditorium was named ‘Mahant Avedyanath Mandap’. In the exhibition dedicated to Mahant Avedyanath, the real history of Gorakhpur, the story of the freedom movement, Vishwaguru Bharat, 75 years history of Vidyarthi Parishad, the work of ABVP in various fields, national integration, environment etc. were in the center. The exhibition was held on 21st December. It was inaugurated by Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra.
ABVP General Secretary Yagyavalkya Shukla presented the General Secretary’s report based on the activities done by ABVP across the country, in which he gave information about ABVP’s programs, activities, movements across the country and the membership figure of 55,12,470.
In the 70th National Convention of ABVP, the re-elected National President Dr. Rajsharan Shahi and the newly elected National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki were given charge by the Election Officer Dr. Prashant Sathe for the session 2024-25.
The 70th National Convention of ABVP was inaugurated by Mr. Dhar Vembhu, CEO of Zoho Corporation on 22 November. Shridhar Vembu raised the issues of self-reliance, entrepreneurship, employment, future guidelines for youth, artificial intelligence etc. prominently in his speech.
In the 69th National Convention of ABVP, the joint venture of ABVP and Vidyarthi Nidhi Trust Pvt. Yashwantrao Kelkar Youth Award-2024 was distributed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mahant Yogi Adityanath. This year Pvt. Yashwantrao Kelkar Yuva Puraskar was awarded to Deepesh Nair of Thane, Maharashtra for playing an important role in creating purpose and enthusiasm in life through skill development and education among hearing handicapped people. The award carries an amount of ₹ 1,00,000/-, Certificate and memento are included.
A total of 5 resolutions were passed in the 70th national convention of ABVP held at Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, which included quality of education, fee increase, demand for organic food instead of highly processed and adulterated foods, India’s strict diplomacy on international forums, Manipur violence. It includes proposals on serious educational and social issues such as complete solutions.
ABVP National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki said that the 70th National Convention of ABVP is a reminder of the glorious history of India. ABVP has been a symbol of positive change in the country. ABVP is the world’s largest student organization with commitment to ideas and the work of building characterful students, which is expanding strongly even after 76 years of its establishment. The declared journey of ABVP is ‘Dhyeya Yatra’, but our aim is to take everyone along and this is our reciprocity. Whatever decision is taken for the national interest, everyone will take it together.
ABVP National Minister Ankit Shukla said that the Vidyarthi Parishad talks about quality education filled with values and values in educational institutions across the country. The country is going through a pleasant phase, India is becoming a country of providing employment. Vidyarthi Parishad has spoken in various contexts of Samarth Bharat 2047 through the Youth Forum in this session. Every worker of Vidyarthi Parishad is committed to fulfill the resolution of Samarth Bharat 2047. In 2047, whoever has the question, the answer will be ours, that is, India will remain at the forefront as a solver of the world’s problems.
