70 out of 71 ministers in the new cabinet of the central government are crorepatis

Out of the 71 ministers in the new Union Cabinet, 70 ministers, or 99 percent, are crorepatis. The Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) has said in a statement that their total assets are Rs 107.94 crore.

According to ADR, seven ministers have assets worth more than Rs 100 crore. Dr Chandrasekhar, Minister of State in the Union Rural Development Ministry, is the richest minister of Pemmasa. He had declared assets worth Rs 5705.47 crore. His assets include current assets worth Rs 5598.65 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 106.82 crore.

Communications Minister and Development of North Eastern Region Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia has declared assets worth Rs 424.75 crore. His assets include current assets worth Rs 62.57 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 362.17 crore.

Minister of Railways, Information and Broadcasting, Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnav has declared assets worth Rs 144.12 crore. This includes current assets worth Rs 142.40 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 1.72 crore.

The total assets of Rao Indrajit Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Statistics and Programme Implementation Ministry is Rs 121.54 crore. Which includes current assets worth Rs 39.31 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 82.23 crore.

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has declared assets worth Rs 110.95 crore. This includes current assets worth Rs 89.87 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 21.09 crore.

Criminal cases are pending against 28 ministers of Narendra Modi's third government. Out of these, cases related to serious crimes including attempt to murder, crime against women, inflammatory speeches are pending against 19 ministers.

Cases of attempt to murder are pending against Santanu Thakur and Sukanta Majumder. Cases of crimes against women are pending against detainees Sanjay Kumar, Thakur, Majumder, Suresh Gopi and Jual Oram.
