Kumbh Mela 2025: In Mahakumbh, all the sages and saints have become the subject of curiosity of the devotees due to their characteristics. There is one such sadhu who has come from Assam. Both his hair and beard are quite long. This matted Baba said, ‘My hair is seven feet long. My original name is Tripuram Saikia, while after initiation the Guru named me Trilok Baba. I am from Lakhimpur district of Assam. ‘This is my first Kumbh.’ Trilok Baba has taken initiation in the old Akhara.
The hair was offered in the Brahmaputra river.
Trilok Baba said, ‘I have worn this matted hair for almost 40 years. I stopped cutting hair a long time ago. The length of the hair was one and a half feet but for some time it started getting stuck in the leg. Due to which the lower part of the hair was cut and thrown into the Brahmaputra river. I did not know about Sannyasa etc. earlier but my Guru told me about it.
Trilok Baba said, ‘I was a farmer. I also had a small shop and used to stitch clothes. Some problems have to be faced due to retention. It becomes difficult to handle but it is a gift from God. We keep it tied. Some people question my matted hair. Many times people start saying whether it is real or fake.
Mahakumbh 2025 will begin with the first royal bath on January 13. Before this the system has made all the arrangements. The Chief Minister himself reached the fair area to take stock of the preparations. During this time he also met sages and saints.
