During technical investigation, it became clear that this amount was transferred directly to his digital wallet as a bribe. After this, the Anti-Corruption Bureau i.e. DVAC submitted its detailed investigation report to the Chennai Municipal Corporation Commissioner, immediately after which all these seven officers were suspended and a departmental inquiry was ordered against them.
