Strong earthquake caused devastation in Vanuatu, situated in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean. This earthquake of 7.3 magnitude on the Richter scale was so terrible that people were shocked. Goods from houses, shops and showrooms started falling, cracks appeared in the walls, and many buildings collapsed. Cars were buried under the debris. People started running here and there screaming to save their lives. High waves started rising in the sea and internet, mobile signal and landline services came to a complete standstill.

Earthquake caused devastation, 6 people died
So far, 6 people have been confirmed dead due to this earthquake and about 3.5 lakh people are in danger. An earthquake occurred in Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu, at around 7:15 am Indian time on Tuesday morning. Its center was 30 kilometers west of Port Vila, at a depth of 57 kilometers under the sea.
Aftershock
After the earthquake, an aftershock of 5.5 magnitude was also felt, which further increased the panic of the people.
Tsunami warning issued
A tsunami warning was issued immediately after the earthquake due to high waves in the sea. However, this warning was withdrawn after about 2 hours. Despite this, the situation worsened due to internet outages and communication services being disrupted.
Government services closed

- The embassies of America, Britain, France and New Zealand were damaged.
