150 devotees could not be contacted
SP Dr. Vishakha Ashok Bhadane said that these people will be rescued on Saturday. Families of more than 150 people have told the police that they are unable to contact their loved ones. All of them went to Kedarnath. Many of them are local people as well. The SP says that due to lack of mobile connectivity in the area, people are unable to talk. Therefore, it is not possible to directly tell how many people are missing, the situation will be clear after the rescue is completed.
Police announced helpline number
The operation to rescue tourists and locals stranded on the Kedarnath route is currently underway. Meanwhile, the police have also issued a helpline number. With the help of which people can get information about their loved ones. The Deputy Superintendent of Police said that all the passengers who went on foot from Kedarnath are safe and are being rescued. He said that 4000 people were rescued on the first day. The police said that a helpline number has been issued to help the passengers and contact family members. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that relief and rescue work is going on in the state, all departments are on alert. I myself went to Lincholi and Guptkashi. So far 5,000 people have been rescued and 1000 people are in shelters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also said that we are together in the hour of disaster.
