Many Indian youth who want to work abroad and earn good salary become victims of cyber scam rackets. Not just one or two but thousands of such cases have come to light in Cambodia. Where an Indian youth has become a victim of a cyber fraud racket by offering him the job of a software engineer. In the latest case, the Indian Embassy in Cambodia rescued 67 Indians with the help of the police. So far 1000 such people have been saved in Cambodia.

The Embassy received information that some Indian youth have become victims of fraud in the name of jobs and good salaries. On September 22, Cambodian police had rescued 67 such Indian citizens from Poipet. The Embassy is repatriating these Indian citizens to India in separate batches with the help of Cambodian Police.

24 citizens were sent to India on 1 October

A team of embassy officials is monitoring the process. They are present at the airport to bring back these Indian youth. Of them, 15 people have left for India on 30 September. On 1 October, 24 Indian nationals were deported. Now the remaining 28 people will reach India in a few days. The Indian Embassy is closely monitoring the situation. It is continuously helping the citizens of the country who are involved in cyber crime. The Indian Embassy in Cambodia says Indian citizens are advised to exercise extreme caution while searching for jobs in Cambodia and other Southeast Asian countries through dubious agents and social media advertisements.
