Jaipur, June 27 (HS). The 65th meeting of the Regional Official Language Implementation Committee Jaipur was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Amitabh, General Manager at North Western Railway, Head Office, Jaipur. The Hindi progress report for the quarterly period ending March 2024 was reviewed in the meeting.
According to Captain Shashikaran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, Siddharth Bhanawat, Senior Electrical Instructor, Regional Railway Training Institute, Udaipur, winner of Prerana Award in Hindi Note and Format Drafting Competition at All Railway level, was felicitated with a certificate in the meeting. During the meeting, the General Manager directed to nominate a clerical staff to monitor official language related work in various offices of division, factory and units including the head office to promote the work of Hindi. During the meeting, suggestions were received from the heads of important departments that various software being used in the railways should be made bilingual. During the meeting, the General Manager also released the 27th issue of the official language quarterly e-magazine 'Marudhara' published by the headquarters.
At the beginning of the meeting, Geetika Pandey, Chief Official Language Officer welcomed the General Managers, Heads of Departments, officers from Divisions/Factories/Units and said that the official language is a matter of national pride. We should proudly use the official language in government work. This is also our administrative and constitutional responsibility. This responsibility should be discharged with sincerity.
The Official Language Officer discussed the agenda of the meeting item wise.
During the discussion, the Official Language urged to use Hindi in accordance with the target set by the Railway Board.
