Bhopal, 7 August (HS). The period of heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh has now stopped. 65 percent of the rain of this season has already occurred. Jabalpur division has received the most rainfall. The figure has crossed 35 inches in Mandla and Seoni. At the same time, the districts of Rewa division are lagging behind. However, due to monsoon trough and cyclonic circulation, the period of heavy rains will continue in some districts. There may be heavy rains in Jabalpur and nearby districts for two days. But there is no possibility of heavy rain on 9 and 10 August.
According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon trough is going towards the Bay of Bengal via Gwalior. There is a cyclonic circulation system over Bengal. Due to this, there will be rain in some districts. It is worth noting that the state has received good rain in one and a half months. With this, the quota of two and a half months has also been completed. The state should have received 20.5 inches of rain till now, but the average rainfall has been 24.5 inches. That is, 4 inches more rain has been received.
Heavy rains were continuing in the state for the past one week, which stopped on Tuesday. Light rain was recorded in Bhopal, Dhar, Indore, Khandwa, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Naugaon, Sagar. There was also bright sunshine in Bhopal during the day. Due to this, the day temperature was recorded at 30.2 degrees. On the other hand, the gates of all the big dams of the state including Kaliyasot, Bhadbhada of Bhopal, Kolar near Bhopal were also closed.
This time all the districts of Jabalpur division have received good rainfall. 37.19 inches of water has fallen in Mandla, which is the highest in the state. 35 inches of water has fallen in Seoni, more than 30 inches in Chhindwara-Dindori, more than 26 inches of water has fallen in Jabalpur, Katni, Narsinghpur and Balaghat. Good rainfall has also occurred in the districts of Bhopal division. On the other hand, Rewa division is lagging behind. Here, rainfall has been less than normal.
