Mirzapur, June 26 (HS). Paddy seeds are being distributed to farmers at reasonable prices from the government seed warehouses of the district. Out of 865 quintals, 625.80 quintals of paddy seeds are available for distribution for sowing in Kharif.
District Agriculture Officer Awadhesh Yadav said that seeds are being distributed from the government seed warehouse of development block City, Gaipura, Chilh, Kachwan, Pahadi, Lalganj, Halia, Patehra Kala, Rajgarh, Sikhad, Barewan, Jamalpur. Paddy MTU 7029, Nati Mansuri, Swarna Sab Ek, Siats, BPT 5204, HUR 917, Siats and CO 51 seeds are being distributed to the farmers as per the standard. Farmers can get seeds from the government seed warehouse.
Traders should distribute seeds only through POS machine
The District Agriculture Officer said that the dealers should distribute fertilizers to the farmers according to the farmer's land holding and Khatauni. Seeds and fertilizers will be distributed only through POS machines in the Kharif season. All fertilizer and seed dealers must mark their stock and sales in the stock register and sales register. Verification of the stock register and sales register must be done in the office within a week.
Grant will be available immediately
Farmers will get the subsidy at the time of purchasing the seeds. The government has implemented a new system from the financial year Kharif 2024. At present, the farmer will have to deposit only his share after deducting the subsidy amount relative to the price per quintal.
