Dumka, September 13 (HS). On Friday, there was chaos in the school when about 60 small children fell ill after eating toxic mid-day meal in Madhya Vidyalaya Mohanpur of Masalia block area of the district. When the doctor of Masalia Community Health Center was informed about this, Dr. Vikas Kumar reached the school with his team and all the above children were brought to Masalia Health Center with the help of three ambulances for treatment.
Investigation and treatment of all the children is underway. In this regard, the in-charge medical officer Dr. Sunil Kumar Singh said that due to the children being brought to the health center on time, the children are out of danger after treatment. However, all the children will be taken care of by keeping them in the health center itself. On receiving the information of this incident, police station in-charge Anil Kumar Tudu, BDO Ajfar Hasnain, Circle Officer Ranjan Yadav and Block Chief Basudev Tudu, all of them reached the community health center and inquired about the health of the children. Also, BDO Ajfar Hasnain inquired about the incident from Dilip Kumar Mishra, a teacher of Mohanpur High School present on the spot. In this, teacher Mishra told that about 50 children were eating in the first batch at the time of lunch. Shortly after eating, the health of the children started deteriorating. In which some children started vomiting, some had a burning sensation in the throat, some had stomach ache etc. In view of this, after giving information to the health center Masalia, the remaining children were stopped from eating food. Here, the BDO Dr. Sunil Kumar was instructed that after sending the children home, the ANM and Sahiyar of the concerned area should have the children monitored.
On receiving the information, former MLA Dr. Louis Marandi reached the Masalia Community Health Center and checked the health of all the children. When the teachers present in the school came to know about this incident, they ran away from the school leaving the children in that condition. The parents of the children who reached the health center regarding this incident told that this incident has happened in this school earlier also. Still the teachers are not serious about it. The kitchen is full of dirt. In such a situation, it is a matter of concern to send the children to school.
