6 teams changed captains in IPL 2024: Know whose fees, Hyderabad has the most expensive captain

The 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is just a few hours away. BCCI will earn bumper from this tournament which will last for 2 months. The world's other top-10 cricket leagues combined are almost four times behind the IPL in terms of earnings.

Earlier, Chennai Super Kings made a big change by appointing Ruturaj Gaikwad as the captain of the team in place of MS Dhoni.

Earlier, Shubman Gill was made the captain of Gujarat Titans and Hardik Pandya was made the captain of Mumbai Indians.

David Warner took over the reins of Delhi Capitals in 2023 but the return of regular captain Rishabh Pant brought another change. Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer has also returned and has taken over the captaincy from Nitish Rana.

Overall, 6 teams have changed their captains so far this season. Rohit Sharma took over the command of Mumbai Indians in 2023 and now Hardik Pandya will be the new captain. The captain of Delhi Capitals was David Warner but now it will be Rishabh Pant.

The captain of Kolkata Knight Riders was earlier Nitish Rana and now it will be Shreyas Iyer. Pat Cummins will also captain Sunrisers Hyderabad while Gujarat Titans will be captained by Shubman Gill.
