A tragic road accident took place in Balod district of Chhattisgarh on Monday morning, in which 6 people died on the spot and 7 others were seriously injured. This accident happened near Chaurapavad located on Bhanupratappur-Dallirajhara road. The accident was so horrific that there was a wave of mourning in the entire area.
A speeding truck hit hard
According to the information received, a speeding truck hit an SUV car coming from the wrong direction. Due to this collision, 6 people traveling in the car died on the spot. The magnitude of the accident can be gauged from the fact that the car was blown to pieces. The people sitting in the car did not even get a chance to recover and within no time this horrific accident left many families in deep sorrow.
The injured were admitted to the hospital.
7 people injured in the accident were immediately admitted to Rajnandgaon Medical College. According to doctors, the condition of some of the injured remains critical and their treatment is ongoing. The hospital administration is providing all possible medical assistance to the injured. This accident has shocked the entire area and the local people are in deep shock.
Truck driver absconding, police investigating
After this accident the truck driver fled from the spot. The police immediately started searching for the accused driver. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ashok Joshi said,
“Police are investigating the matter seriously and the accused will be arrested soon.”
Police have seized the truck from the spot and are conducting an intensive search operation in the surrounding areas.
