6 big changes in Google Pay, payment method changed! | News India

Google Pay is one of the most used payment apps in India. The company is also adding some new features to its payment app to further improve the overall user experience. At the Global Fintech Fest 2024, Google has announced several new features including UPI Circle, UPI Voucher, ClickPay QR, etc., which are set to launch later this year. Each of these features is making payments easier. The company has announced a total of 6 major changes.

UPI Circle

This is one of the best features which the company has named UPI Circle. In simple words, with the help of this feature you can give access to your account to your family members or friends to make payments. UPI Circle is specially designed for those who have less access to banking services or are reluctant to use UPI for digital payments.

In addition, UPI Voucher is now allowing users to send prepaid vouchers linked to mobile numbers. This feature is now being rolled out in various regions.

To make bill payments more convenient, Google Pay has introduced ClickPay QR in partnership with NPCI Bharat Bill Pay. This feature is allowing users to pay bills by scanning the ClickPay QR code from the Google Pay app.

With this feature, users can now link their prepaid utility accounts directly through Google Pay. This feature is designed to make managing and tracking bills easier.

Google Pay is rolling out the Tap & Pay service for RuPay cards to make payments easier. This feature allows users to link their RuPay cards to Google Pay and make payments by tapping their mobile phone on the card machine.

Finally, Google Pay is offering UPI Lite on Auto. This feature automatically tops up users' UPI Lite balance if it falls below a certain limit. UPI Lite is a simplified version of UPI designed for smaller transactions.
