Driving License: Uttar Pradesh Transport Department is busy in making itself hi-tech. Ghaziabad Regional Transport Office is also going to make 58 of its services completely faceless. This means that now people will not have to go to RTO office for RC, driving license and vehicle fitness copy. After about ten days of demo, the new system will be implemented in Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Hapur and Bulandshahr districts. With this, people will be able to get their work done sitting at home. The biggest advantage of the department's services being online will be that interference of middlemen in important works like RC and vehicle fitness certificate will be stopped and corruption will be reduced.
So far nine services have been made online. Now the number of these services is being increased to 43. The department intends to make 58 services online, but there are legal obstacles in making some services online. As soon as these problems are resolved, these will also be made online.
The application will have to be processed within the stipulated time
The biggest advantage of RTO office services being online will be that the employees will not be able to delay people's work without any reason. After applying for any work, that application will have to be accepted or rejected within a stipulated time. The advantage of this will be that people will not have to wait long to get any of their papers.
Fitness center will open next month
Two more fitness centers will be opened in Ghaziabad to check the fitness of vehicles. At present a fitness center is operational in Dasna. Another center will open by the end of next month. The file for the second center is in process. After the opening of these two centres, the number of vehicle fitness testing centers in the district will increase to three. Currently, due to there being only one centre, it takes a lot of time to check the fitness of vehicles.
