Uttar Pradesh Losing Candidate : In the Lok Sabha election results, BJP has suffered the biggest setback in Uttar Pradesh. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won 62 seats from this state, but this time it won 33 seats. The most important thing is that 55 faces of Uttar Pradesh who won in 2019 will not be seen in Parliament. These 55 faces also include those MPs who lost the elections and were not given tickets in 2024. Eight-time MP Maneka Gandhi, who is considered the most popular face of the state, will also not be seen in Parliament now.
Maneka Gandhi and Varun will also not be seen in Parliament
Maneka Gandhi became an MP in 1989. But she lost the 10th Lok Sabha election in 1991. After this, she has won the 11th to 17th Lok Sabha elections from 1996 to 2019. However, it is her turn to face defeat from Sultanpur seat in the year 2024. Apart from Maneka, her son Varun Gandhi will also not be seen in Parliament. BJP cut his ticket from Pilibhit seat.
Rahul contested and won from Sonia Gandhi's seat
Talking about other bigwigs, BJP cut the ticket of eight-time MP Santosh Gangwar and fielded Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar from Bareilly seat, where Gangwar won. While this time Sonia Gandhi did not contest the election from Rae Bareli. Her son Rahul Gandhi contested the election from this seat and won a big victory.
SP MP HT Hasan's ticket was also cut
A few days ago, when Sambhal MP Shafiqur Rahman Barq passed away, his son Ziaur Rahman contested the election on Samajwadi Party ticket and won. On the other hand, Samajwadi Party MP HT Hasan did not get the ticket for Moradabad seat. Party's Ruchi Veera contested the election and won.
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh's son will win and go to Parliament
Allahabad MP Professor Rita Bahuguna Joshi's ticket was cut and given to Neeraj Tripathi and he lost the election. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is accused of sexually exploiting female wrestlers, will also not be seen in Parliament. BJP fielded his son Karan Bhushan Singh from Kaiserganj seat in his place and he won. In the Lok Sabha elections-2024, seven ministers of the NDA government lost the elections.
These seven defeated ministers will also not go to Parliament
The seven ministers who lost in Uttar Pradesh include Union Minister of State Ajay Mishra Teni (Kheri seat), Union Minister Smriti Irani (Amethi), Union Minister of State Kaushal Kishore (Mohanlalganj), Union Minister of State Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti (Fatehpur), Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey (Chandauli). Union Minister of State Bhanu Pratap Verma (Jalaun) and Union Minister of State Sanjeev Balyan (Muzaffarnagar) have lost the elections. Former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh's son Rajveer Singh Raju Bhaiya lost the election from Etah seat. BJP had cut VK Singh's ticket from Ghaziabad.
