53rd meeting of GST Council on June 22, Sitharaman will preside

New Delhi, June 13 (HS). After the formation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Center, the first meeting of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council will be held on June 22 in the capital New Delhi.

The GST Council said on Thursday that this will be the 53rd meeting of the Council chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The GST Council is an apex member committee to amend, resolve or achieve any law or regulation based on the context of goods and services tax in the country.
