Posts abolished to improve the financial health of the Electricity Board
It is believed that these posts have been abolished to improve the financial health of the Electricity Board. This will reduce unnecessary expenses incurred by the electricity board. It has also been clarified that the posts of Assistant Engineer Works in Electrical Division will be filled from the posts promoted from Drawing and IT Cadres.
Employees angry, work to rule from today, complaints will not be heard on mobile
Due to the abolition of these posts in the structure of the Electricity Board, the employees of the Board have become enraged and have announced to wage an all-out fight. The employees have announced that if the board does not withdraw the order, they will go on mass leave.
The joint front of Electricity Board employees and engineers has said that there is huge anger over this step of the Board. Morcha's co-coordinator Hiralal Verma said that it was decided in the emergency meeting that from today i.e. Saturday, the employees and engineers are working as per work-to-rule. Mobile phones will be kept switched off from 6 pm to 9 am and people's electricity related complaints will not be heard during this period. Survey of domestic consumers and hotels through mobile app will also be stopped.
He said that if the order is not withdrawn before October 28, everyone will go on mass leave.
Heera Lal Verma told that the Electricity Board was formed in 1971. For the first time these posts have been abolished. These posts are still logical and their abolition can completely affect the functioning of the Electricity Board. This will also adversely affect the basic structure of the Electricity Board, this structure was prepared for better functioning of the Electricity Board. He said that the work wing of the Electricity Board was created for the officers and employees working in the field. Apart from this, they also perform routine administrative work.
