Delhi Police has issued notices for questioning to YouTubers including Elvis Yadav, Abhishek Malhan, Bharti Singh, Harsh Limbachiyaa, Lakshya Chaudhary, Adarsh Singh, Diljit Singh Rawat and other famous social media influencers. He is accused of promoting fake apps and misleading people.
What is Hibox App?
Hibox is an app, this app was launched in February 2024. This app was promising that people would get huge returns on their investment. It was also said that people would be given a reward of lakhs of rupees along with good returns. A minimum investment of Rs 300 had to be made in this application. On which it was also said that one to five percent interest would be given per day.
More than 30 thousand people were trapped in this temptation. And they have also invested in mobile applications. People were given good returns in the initial days. Due to which people's greed starts increasing. By July 2024, the app stopped giving money to people citing technical errors, GST and IT related issues. After this, more than 500 people complained to the police in this matter.
