During the inauguration of ‘Lokmata Ahilyabai Matrishakti Yatra Yojana’ and flag-off program of special buses organized in the capital Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a big gift to the brilliant daughters of the state. With this new initiative of the government, thousands of daughters of the state are going to get great facilities in higher education and transportation.
50 thousand graduate daughters will get scooters in October-November
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that free scooties will be provided to 50 thousand daughters of the state pursuing graduation in the months of October and November. CM Yogi clarified that the double engine government is working by keeping women’s safety, respect and self-reliance at the center of its plans. The main objective of the government is to completely guarantee the security and empowerment of daughters at every level, from their birth to their education, employment and entrepreneurship.
Bus travel completely free for women on Rakshabandhan
Keeping in mind the holy festival of Rakshabandhan, the government has given a special gift to women. The Chief Minister announced that on August 27, 28 and 29, travel in Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation and city buses will be absolutely free for all mothers, sisters and daughters of the state. Along with this, from August 29 onwards, women above 60 years of age will also get the facility of free travel in buses for life. To avail this facility, women will only have to show their identity card (Voter ID card or other valid document), and the entire fare will be borne by the state government.
Schemes dedicated in the name of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar
This entire travel and transportation scheme is named in honor of the contribution of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, who set an example of women’s self-reliance. ‘Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar Matrashakti Yojana’ Is placed. Apart from this, it has also been decided to name the new hostels to be built for working women after Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. The Chief Minister said that Ahilyabai Holkar had made a historic contribution in women’s self-reliance and revival of temples, from which today’s generation should take inspiration.
Government is strict on the safety of daughters
During his address, the Chief Minister also fiercely targeted the previous governments. He said that before the year 2017, the safety of daughters was in danger in the state, there used to be riots before festivals and mafia rule was dominant. But the present government has completely improved the law and order. CM Yogi said in a warning tone that if anyone tries to breach the daughter’s security, then the path to jail or hell is open for him. He said that the number of women policemen in the state has increased significantly compared to 2017 to more than 45 thousand, which will soon reach 50 thousand. Apart from this, excellent arrangements like three battalions of Mahila PAC, pink booth and one stop center have also been implemented.
