Jhansi, July 15 (HS). The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is giving 50 percent subsidy of the cost amount to encourage farmers for horticulture, flower cultivation and vegetable cultivation under the District Industrial Mission Scheme. Under the District Horticulture Mission Scheme operated in Jhansi, 173 farmers are to be given subsidy in different programs for the financial year 2024-25. Farmers can register for this on the department's website www.uphorticulture.in.
Under the new garden plantation program, 28 farmers will be provided subsidy for jamun, lime and lemon, papaya, fig, strawberry and gooseberry for a maximum of 4 hectares per farmer. The estimated cost per hectare for these has been fixed between Rs 60 thousand and Rs 1,25,000. Under the loose flower cultivation program, a cost of Rs 40 thousand per hectare has been fixed for 20 small marginal farmers according to the maximum limit of two hectares per farmer. For the vegetable cultivation program, 125 farmers are to be given subsidy and a cost of Rs 50 thousand per hectare has been fixed. In all the programs, 50 percent of the cost is to be provided as subsidy in the form of annual installments.
In Jhansi district, the number of beneficiaries from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes has also been determined in all three programs under the District Horticulture Mission Scheme.
