50 lakh stolen from the house of owner of Webs Hotel in Ramgarh

Ramgarh, 30 November (Hindustan Reporter). The staff, who have been working at Hotel Waves on Shivaji Road in the city for 8 years, cleaned the house of the hotel owner. The hotel staff stole property worth approximately Rs 50 lakh. Based on the statement of Hotel Waves owner Sanjeev Chadda, the police has started investigation.

Hotel Waves operates in a four-storey building. The lower two locks have a hotel and a party hall. Sanjeev Chadha’s entire family lives above him. The vicious hotel staff Akash Dhanak raided the room where there was an almirah full of jewelery and cash. The incident happened when the hotel owner was out with his entire family for a wedding ceremony. The hotel was closed and some rooms were open for the staff. Thief Akash Dhanak took advantage of this void and committed this crime on 28th November. The video of Akash’s entry and exit has also been captured in CCTV.

The thief entered from the roof of another house, was doing recce for 3 months

According to the police, Akash Dhanak was a staff of Hotel Waves for 8 years. Three months ago he left his job and went home but his focus was on the hotel. He was also getting information about when the hotel owner’s entire family was going to go out by calling the hotel staff. He had come to know that Sanjeev Chadha would be away for four days to attend the wedding with his entire family. A wedding ceremony was also going on in the house next to the hotel. Akash got the benefit of the crowd of people. He managed to enter Sanjeev Chadha’s house through another house.

CCTV installed in the house was rotated

CCTVs are installed in Sanjeev Chaddha’s house and hotel. In the last 8 years, Akash Dhanak had complete knowledge of where things are in the house. As soon as he entered the house, he turned the CCTV so that his picture could not be captured. After this he broke the cupboard, which contained about Rs 20 lakh in cash and gold, silver and diamond jewellery.

The family reached home on the night of 29 November and found the house in ruins.

When Sanjeev Chaddha’s entire family returned home on the night of 29 November, they were shocked. The whole house was in disarray. The cupboard where money and jewelery were kept was missing. When I checked the CCTV, a different angle was seen. After this, the family members scanned the CCTV installed in the nearby houses and roads. During this, he saw the face of Akash Dhanak who had left his job 3 months ago and returned to his village Sant Kabir Das Nagar of Moti Nagar police station area under Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. They saw him entering their neighbor’s house and running away with the bag through the roof.

The hotel staff was talking to Gopal on video call.

Police interrogation revealed that Akash Dhanak was in constant touch with hotel staff Gopal Kumar. He kept interrogating her by making video calls. During this time, he often kept collecting information about the business of the hotel and the presence of the owners. He used to take information about all the members of the house through the staff on phone.

Police started raid for arrest

Police have registered case number 370/24 on the statement of Sanjeev Chaddha in Ramgarh police station. They have initiated action under sections 311 (4), 305 (A) of the Indian Judicial Code. The police have seen the appearance of the thief in CCTV. Besides, information about his identity and his permanent address has also been established. Police have also sought assistance from Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh police for his arrest. Ramgarh SP Ajay Kumar said that soon this scandal will be solved and the thief will be arrested.
