Kuwait Fire News : A total of 50 people, including 49 Indians, were killed in a massive fire that broke out in a building in Mangaf, Kuwait. More than 50 people were injured in the blaze, officials said. Most of the deaths were due to smoke inhalation as residents were asleep when the fire broke out. However, some people were rescued. More than 200 Indians lived in the six-storey building. They were mainly Malayalis, Keralites and North Indians. The fire broke out at 6 am.

The Home Ministry said that the death toll has risen to 49. The ministry said that at present the policemen are working to identify the dead at the spot. They have found out the cause of the fire and will now take strict action against the owners who violated the rules.
Major General Id-al-Owaihan, head of the Ministry of Interior, said that unfortunately we got information about this incident at 9 am. Most of the dead are from the Indian states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and North India. Their age is between 20 and 50 years. The building was leased by the NBTC Group. Giving this information on social media, the Indian Embassy said that the embassy has started a helpline number regarding this incident with Indian workers. According to the Kuwait Times report, Kuwait's Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al Sabah has ordered the arrest of the owner of the building located in Mangaf. He has also ordered the building's watchman to detain the people present at the time of the incident until the investigation is completed.
The minister visited the site of the incident and said that 'what happened there was the result of the greed of the company and the building owners.' Also, orders were given to make all kinds of security arrangements to prevent such tragedies in the future.
Regarding this fire incident, Foreign Minister Dr. S Jaishankar said on social media that it was very sad to know about the fire incident. Reportedly more than 40 people have died and more than 50 people have been hospitalized. Our ambassador also went to that camp. Now we are waiting for further information.
