48 thousand rupees stolen by changing ATM card


Araria, 05 June (HS). Ramkumar Gupta, father Mahesh Prasad Gupta, resident of Tamganj Ward No. 2 of Narpatganj police station area, has filed an application in Forbesganj police station alleging that cyber thugs have withdrawn 48 thousand rupees by changing his ATM card.

In an application given to the Farbisganj police station in-charge, the victim Ramkumar Gupta said that he has an account in Farbisganj Punjab National Bank and he had withdrawn five thousand rupees from the Bank of Baroda ATM center on June 1. In the same sequence, two unknown people already present in the ATM center replaced his ATM card and handed him another card and Rs 47,999 was withdrawn from his card.

He demanded action from the police station in-charge, saying that two unknown people cheated him by changing his card at the ATM centre. He said that he came to know about the fraud on June 4 when he was withdrawing money.
