47.53 percent voting till 3 pm in the fifth phase, highest in Bengal 62.72 percent


New Delhi, May 20 (Hindustan Reporter) Voting is underway on Monday in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections on 49 seats in six states and two union territories. A total of 47.53 percent voting was recorded till 3 pm. In this, the highest turnout of 62.72 percent took place in West Bengal.

According to the Election Commission, 45.33 percent voting took place in Bihar, 44.90 percent in Jammu and Kashmir, 53.90 percent in Jharkhand, 61.26 percent in Ladakh, 38.77 percent in Maharashtra, 48.95 percent in Odisha, 47.55 percent in Uttar Pradesh and 62.72 percent in West Bengal. .

This phase includes 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 13 in Maharashtra, seven in West Bengal, five in Odisha, five in Bihar, three in Jharkhand, one in Jammu and Kashmir, one in Ladakh.

According to the Election Commission, today voting is also being held simultaneously for 35 assembly seats of Odisha Assembly. Releasing the figures, the Commission said that till 3 pm, a total of 48.95 percent voting was recorded in Odisha.
