The police, who reached Sambhal’s Deepa Rai locality to investigate electricity theft, were shocked to see what they found. While investigating, suddenly a temple was found which is said to be of the year 1978. The idols of Hanumanji, Shivalinga and Nandi are installed inside the temple.
Recently, after the Sambhal violence in Uttar Pradesh, a search operation was conducted against the miscreants. During this time, SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi got angry after seeing the situation of electricity theft. In fact, electricity department officials told the SP that when we go for checking, thugs threaten us. He is threatening to take a look. After this came to light, the police and administration have started taking major action against illegal encroachment and electricity theft.
This temple is said to be from 1978
Large scale electricity theft was revealed during raids on mosques and houses. But during this time on Saturday morning, the police were surprised when while checking in Deepa Rai area, they suddenly found a temple which is said to be of the year 1978.
The temple has idols of Hanumanji, Shivalinga and Nandi.
Then DM SP and heavy police force reached the spot. This temple, which was closed for 46 years, was found at a distance of 200 meters from the house of SP MP Ziaur Rehman Burke. The idols of Hanumanji, Shivalinga and Nandi are installed inside the temple.
‘Once upon a time a Hindu family lived here’
Regarding this matter, Additional SP Shrish Chandra said, ‘During the checking it was found that some people have taken over the temple by building houses. The temple has been cleaned and action will be taken against those encroaching on the temple. The temple has idols of Lord Shiva and Hanumanji. At one time Hindu families lived in this area and due to some reasons they left this area.
‘There is an ancient well near the temple’
DM Sambhal Rajendra Pansia said that there is also information about the existence of an ancient well near the temple which is closed among the Muslim population. A well is being dug. The encroachment around the temple will also be demolished.
Electricity theft caught in hundreds of houses
Let us tell you that in Sambhal, along with DM, SP and ASP, heavy police force and different teams of electricity department started the operation in the entire area in the dark on Saturday morning. Where during the operation, large scale electricity theft was detected in hundreds of houses due to big electric heaters and hot water rods in water tanks. Along with this, electricity was also being supplied to the houses through the electrical wires going from inside the three mosques of the area. SP KK Bishnoi and DM have confirmed the theft of electricity from the mosque.
