4500 Indian students returned home due to riots in Bangladesh

New Delhi: Nearly 4,500 Indian students have returned home by Sunday evening due to widespread anti-reservation riots in Bangladesh. The Ministry of External Affairs said this on Sunday evening. The list of the Ministry of External Affairs states that the students included in the survey are also safe.

Along with this, the Ministry of External Affairs said that our embassy in Bangladesh has also been instructed to make full arrangements for the safe return of our students to India.

The list of the Ministry of External Affairs states that these students are returning to India from Bangladesh through the designated border crossing points to enter India. Apart from this, 500 students from Nepal, 38 from Bhutan and 1 student from Maldives have also entered India.

The list further said that our Embassy in Dhaka has held discussions with officials of the Department of Civil Aviation of Bangladesh to ensure movement of civilian aircraft between the two countries.
