People lost their lives due to extreme heat
The Edhi Foundation said that 427 people have lost their lives in four days due to the scorching heat, which does not include Wednesday's figure. Faisal Edhi, head of the NGO, said that the foundation has four morgues in Karachi and now the situation has reached such a level that there is no space left in all the four morgues. On Tuesday, Pakistani officials said that at least 20 people have died in the last 48 hours.

Faisal Edhi said most of the dead were homeless and drug addicts who were lying on the streets. He said 135 bodies arrived at his mortuary on Tuesday and 128 on Monday. The Edhi Trust is Pakistan's largest welfare foundation, which works for the poor, homeless, orphans and women across the country.
Postmortem of 10 dead bodies
Pakistan said on Tuesday that at least 20 people have died in Karachi in 48 hours. Relief service officials said that 10 more bodies were found on the streets of Karachi and other places on Tuesday. A day before this, 10 bodies were also post-mortemed on Monday.
Death of people living on the sidewalk or roadside
Police surgeon Sumaiya Syed said: “Most of the bodies were of people living on the pavement or roadside and apparently died due to the extreme heat in the city.” Officials said all the deaths were probably due to extreme heat as the temperature soared above 40 degrees Celsius.
