Deputy Chief Whip of the Assembly Kewal Singh Pathania said that 430 herbal gardens are being established in the state so that the general public can be made aware about the medicinal use of herbal plants. On Friday, as the chief guest in the program organized for the National Ashwagandha Campaign at the Government Senior Secondary School Chadi in Shahpur Assembly constituency, Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, after distributing Ashwagandha plants to the people, said that the National Ashwagandha Campaign is very important for improving the health of the people. Under this, people are being provided information about the cultivation of Ashwagandha, its use and its benefits.
He said that Ashwagandha is a medicinal plant that enhances immunity and has been used in traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years.
The Deputy Chief Whip said that under the National Ashwagandha Campaign, 2 lakh Ashwagandha plants are being distributed in the state while 20 thousand plants are being distributed in Kangra district.
Deputy Chief Whip, Kewal Singh Pathania said that the present government is committed to provide better health facilities and various posts are being filled in Tanda Medical College so that people can avail treatment facilities.
He told that in this area, 10 crore 30 lakh rupees are being spent by the Jal Shakti Department on Jal Jeevan Mission and other development works. Apart from this, an amount of 25 lakh has been released for Rulla Di Kuhal. He said that 57 lakh rupees have been spent on various development works in Gram Panchayat Chadi in the last 18 months. Construction work of additional rooms is in progress by spending 18 lakh 45 thousand in RVMAPA Chadi. On this occasion, Dr. Ashish Rana of Ayush Department welcomed the chief guest and other guests.
