There were more than 80 tourists on the boat
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) informed local authorities on Friday (July 19) that more than 80 tourists were traveling on a boat earlier this week. All the migrants left Haiti for Turks and Caicos on Wednesday (July 17). The Haitian Coast Guard rescued 40 people in the incident.
Haiti is facing an economic crisis
